Update: Christian Obodo's Kidnappers want 150k Euro

Nigeria international Christian Obodo has been abducted in Warri, southern Nigeria, his family confirmed Saturday.

The player’s family said Obodo, who last season played for Lecce in Italy’s Serie A, was driving alone in his car following a visit to a relative when he was taken by unknown gunmen.

Ivory Coast, 7 Nigeriens U. N. peacekeepers killed in ambush

An ambush on U.N. troops in the Ivory Coast left seven peacekeepers from Niger dead, a mission spokesman stated. The ambush took place in the nation's western region near the border with Liberia, in the city of Tai. The attackers are yet to be identified.

Gunmen On The Loose After Killing Police Officer In a Bank

The incident occurred in Tudun Wada, Kaduna and the corpse is still lying on the ground in soaked blood with the innards out. The gunmen according to a source in Tudun Wada were heavily armed and people fleeing the scene on noticing the incident.
